Increasing cases of orthopedic surgeries across the globe is driving the demand for orthobiologics. A study presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2023, revealed that orthopedic surgeons would face a challenge in meeting the increasing demand for total joint arthroplasty (TJA). The study found that to keep up with the demand, surgeons will have to either double their TJA caseload or increase the number of surgeons by 10% every five years.
