Report Summary:
This report presents the findings of our latest analysis on the development of the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) across North America, with projections extended to 2060 under low, base case and high scenarios. It provides a comprehensive commentary on the competitiveness of 18 technologies, assessing their viability in each market. Our analysis encompasses all 50 US states and four Canadian states - Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec. The analysis accounts for the optimal subsidy option - the production tax credit (PTC) or the investment tax credit (ITC). These subsidy components are listed in a separate column in the accompanying dataset, allowing for easy removal to calculate unsubsidised LCOE values.
