About Transmission Electron Microscope

Microscopes were invented to look at objects which could not be seen by naked human eye. It was claimed to be invented by Hans Lippershey, a German scientist, in the 1590s. The capacity of a microscope is limited by the wavelength of the light used to see the object. The human eye can see objects of size up to 0.2mm. Electron microscopes are broadly categorized as TEM and SEM. This report covers the market size, growth opportunities, challenges, and trend of the global TEM market. TEMs use a beam of electrons that are transmitted through an ultra-thin specimen, which then interact with the specimen as they pass through it. From the interaction, an image is formed, which is then magnified and focused on a fluorescent screen upon a layer of photographic film, for getting detected by a sensor; for example, a charge-coupled device.
