"Providing excellent choices at the infrastructure layer is great for customers, but it also requires them to choose the right instance types for what they are trying to achieve. Q has the potential to help customers navigate the broad portfolio on the infrastructure level and point customers in the right direction," said Carla Arend, associate vice president, IDC's European Cloud Research. "In addition, choosing the right instance type helps with achieving sustainability goals, as it helps avoid overprovisioning of infrastructure and thus reduces energy usage."
