There was a blizzard of announcements covering virtually every technology area in Microsoft's broad product portfolio."Microsoft has demonstrated itself to be a highly competitive organization that pivots quickly and deeply around emerging technologies that offer the company opportunities for growth. The transition we have seen take place over the past two or three years has been exceptionally well orchestrated by company management, and today we are seeing the broad impact those investments are having on Microsoft's products," said Al Gillen, GVP, Software Development and Open Source, IDC.
