Head-up display (HUD) projects information for driver assistance on the inner side of the windshield to enable drivers or pilots to view the information while driving the vehicle or aircraft. HUDs were initially used in military aircraft to display information during take-off and landing performance of the aircraft, and to improve safety by providing low risk and flight control.
