This review is the seventh edition of the market research of sodium chloride (table salt) in Russia. Monitoring of the market since 2000.

The purpose of the study - an analysis of the market of table salt - the global and Russian.

The objects of study are food processing, industrial and fodder salt and brine produced by chemical and potash companies. All data on the production brines are based upon solid.

This work is a desk study. As information sources, we used data of the State Statistics Committee of the CIS, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), the State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Ukraine, the State balance of mineral resources of Russia and the USSR, the official statistics of rail transport of "Russian Railways", the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), State Customs Service (GTS) of Ukraine, the National Statistics Committee (NSC) of the Republic of Belarus, the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK). Also, the State has benefited the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the data base Undata, the sector and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of producers and consumers of salt.

The chronological scope of the study: 2000-2012, forecast - 2013-2020

Geography Research: Russian Federation - an analysis of reserves, production, production and foreign trade in sodium chloride, the rest of the world - general information about stocks, the dynamics of production and prices.

The report consists of 7 Sections, contains 104 pages, including 33 tables, 18 figures and 2 appendices.

The first chapter gives a brief review of the characteristics of standing of world market of salt reserves, production and prices.

The second chapter presents data on volumes of reserves and geographic location of deposits of sodium chloride in Russia.

The third chapter is devoted to the review of the methods of production and volume production of various types of salt in the Russian Federation for the period 2000-2012

In the fourth chapter, the characteristic of the current state of the largest Russian manufacturers of salt.
