About Grid Scale Energy Storage Systems

Grid energy storage is a technique used for the large-scale storage of electricity through a power grid. Such electricity storage is required when the amount of electricity generated is greater than the demand. The surplus electricity saved in energy storage systems is supplied to customers when the demand is higher than the generation. Grid storage is a mechanism of storing electricity during the off-peak period and supplying the stored electricity during the peak period.
