About biomass power generation

Biomass power generation comprises power generation from human and natural carbon-containing waste. These waste products are derived from various sources, including by-products from the timber industry, sugarcane crops, woody plants, agricultural residue, oil-rich algae, and organic municipal and industrial waste. Power generation through biomass is gaining popularity. Recovering energy from garbage has evolved over the years from simple incineration of waste in an uncontrolled environment to controlled combustion of waste, which ensures environment friendliness. Biomass is an ideal substitute for conventional fossil fuels used for heating and power generation. There are a number of processes that generate energy from a wide variety of biomass products.
