The ITU is poised to finalize which standard will be official 4G (IMT-Advanced) at the upcoming WRC, to be held in October 2010. LTE, (Long Term Evolution), has gained wide support from leading international telecom operators and telecom equipment suppliers, and some telecom operators have already begun LTE network deployment.
