This IDC study presents an analysis of the China business analytics services market from 2015-2019 and also contains the historical sizing in 2014. In this study, we analyze the business analytics application situation and sizing in each vertical and present the development trend and growth rate in the next five years. The verticals included in this study are finance (banking, insurance, and security), telecommunications, manufacturing, government, and retail. This study also analyzes the competitor landscape of the business analytic services market in China and provides the profile of some representative vendors.
"The development of mobility and Internet has brought about the big data era. Big data changed the definition of 'traditional data.' Users need to face more complex data types and more massive amount of data. This also drives the appearance of more open source platform based on big data technologies, such as Hadoop. On the other hand, the big data technology will be combined more with business analytics. In the big data era, customers hope business analytics will bring actual business value for enterprises including improving on their competitive advantages, cutting costs, and improving their customer acquisition/retention strategies," says Nina Nie, senior market analyst, Enterprise System and Software Research, IDC China.
"In China, business analytics is still at the early stage of development. Many customers are willing to apply a business analytics solution, but they have no ability to implement. So, many customers are very dependent on service providers. Also, business analytics has very different applications in various verticals. It is closely combined with business data and system, resulting in a customized way of service delivery," Nie adds.
