This IDC study presents the Wave 1 results of IDC's 2014 Western Europe Enterprise Mobility Survey. The study provides strategic end-user insight into the management and security of mobile solutions, mobile applications, mobile devices and operating systems, BYOD, CYOD, and outsourcing. It also provides an overview of enterprise mobility technology strategies and approaches.

"There is no doubt that enterprise mobility is becoming a core component in IT strategies," said Rosie Secchi, research manager, IDC EMEA Enterprise Mobility Strategies. "Although security and IT control remain a big concern for the majority of the companies surveyed, there is also an increasing number of organizations that are now looking at strategies that move away from all the challenges and shift toward the business benefits that can be achieved by embedding mobility into the enterprise IT culture, and thinking mobile first."
