Research and Future Development Forecast of Automobile Steering Device Industry in China, 2014-2018, makes in-depth analysis on China's automobile steering device industry in the aspects of policy, features & characteristics, competition landscape, demand structure, latest news, development trend as well as key enterprises.

As China's automobile steering device manufacturing industry has developed rapidly, many foreign enterprises have devoted themselves to China's market successively, and the joint ventures are booming in China, so the market share of independent Chinese enterprises have suffered a sharp drop. Now, China's automobile steering device market is divided by three major forces: foreign-owned enterprises and Sino-foreign joint ventures take up the high-end market; relatively competitive state-owned ones and private enterprises occupy the middle-end market; less competitive medium and small sized enterprises struggle in low-end market.

According to the latest statistics, China's independent automobile steering device brands hold about 85% market share in the field of commercial vehicles, forming a solid foundation for domestic brands, and about 50% market share in the field of passenger vehicles, where the competition with foreign brands is much fiercer. Foreign-owned enterprises and joint ventures are dominant in China's high and middle-end passenger vehicle market and high-end commercial vehicle market.

In the field of sedan-accessories, the high technical barrier of joint ventures makes the domestic manufacturers hard to expand the business. Therefore, those Chinese enterprises have no choice but to target on independent brands which have a market share less than 30%, resulting a narrow marketing space and limited development scale.

There are 150 automobile steering device enterprises (excluding family workshops) in China at present, of which private ones exceed 70%, state-owned ones are less than 15%, joint ventures account for about 10%, and sole proprietorships account for 5%. And about 50 relatively larger enterprises are specialized in producing components and parts of automobile steering devices (including joint ventures), such as Hubei Henglong Group, ZF Shanghai Steering Systems Co., Ltd., Xinhang Yubei Steering System Co., Ltd., and Hubei Tri-ring Auto Electric Co., Ltd.
