Hydraulic non-standard equipments are designed and produced according to the special needs of the users; the equipments are a kind of transmission system equipments which use fluid as the working medium to pass energy and control the work. Various elements formed the basic loop with different functions and the numbers of basic loops organically combined into a drive system with a certain control function.

Currently, the international well-known hydraulic equipments enterprises are: German Bosch-Rexroth Company, American Eaton Hydraulic Company, Parker Hannifin Company and Japan YUKEN Company, Italy ATOS Company and so on.

China's hydraulic equipment industry has the similar regional characteristics wit downstream equipment manufacturing industries, mainly distributed in Eastern China, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Shanghai, the following regions are North and Northeast (Liaoning) China region, Central China and South China regions, the enterprises in Southwest and Northwest regions are relatively less. According to the industry's enterprise survey, the hydraulic non-standard equipment manufacturing enterprises are concentrated in Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions.

In recent years, China's hydraulic equipment industry developed fast, the market scale is expanding continuously. In 2010, there are more than 1,000 enterprises engaged in the production of hydraulic equipments, the number of main enterprises is more than 400. On the whole, after a long-term technology accumulation, China's enterprises have formed the relatively complete hydraulic production systems; the products have been able to basically meet the supporting needs of downstream industries. But in China's hydraulic industry, the development period is short, industrial concentration is low, most of the enterprises are small scale, and the lack of independent innovation capability are seriously lagging behind in the development of downstream equipment manufacturing industry, therefore, the domestic enterprises have a large gap compare with foreign enterprises in the competitions of high-end products field.
