It divides the target products into seven product categories: Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), Compact Electrostatic Baghouse Precipitator (COEBP), Fabric Dust Collector (FDC), Flue Gas Denitrification Equipment (FGD-NOx), Flue Gas Desulphurization Equipment (FGD-SO2), Low-NOx Burners (Lo-NOx) and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). The scope of the market is defined as domestic (Mainland China) sales and imports, while export figures are also given. The domestic market for these products was worth around RMB 38 Bn in 2012, an increase of about 15% over 2011.

Research finds that, after saturation in the desulfurization market and slower growth in 2012, the APC market will resume fast growth in 2013. This growth will be lead by equipment targeting NOx removal, which is driven by installations in coal fired power plants and the cement industry in order to meet new 2015 NOx reduction targets. Other equipment types are expected to maintain steady growth, and unlike earlier years more opportunities will emerge in industrial sectors rather than the power industry.
