In 2015, the production of lighting fixtures in the eight Central-Eastern European countries considered in our analysis registered a 16.2% increase, thus reaching a total value of EUR 2,231 million. As for consumption, a total value of EUR 2,169 million was recorded in the CEE8 countries during 2015 (+14.4% compared to 2014). Lighting fixtures market grew by 46% in the LED segment, while decreasing by -1.3% for Conventional sources. In 2015, the volume of exports reached EUR 1,849.4 million, which represents an increase of 19.9% compared to the previous year. Imports of lighting fixtures in Central-Eastern Europe reached EUR 1,787.9 million in 2015, representing a 9.7% increase on 2014. Poland provides 47% of Central-Eastern Europe's lighting supply and 37% of its total exports. Poland is also the main importer of lighting fixtures (32%) of the region, followed by the Hungary (19%) and Czech Republic (18%). Four countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary) account for about 80% of total consumption.
