China's azoxystrobin industry has made great progress during the past few years, and is playing a more and more important role in the world's azoxystrobin market. It is noteworthy that the Chinese government is now actively strengthening the pesticide industry by releasing stricter environmental protection policies and raising threshold to enter the industry. Some companies who cannot reach the standard were ordered to shut down, and whose production of some pesticides that cannot reach the standard was ordered to stop. Besides, the Chinese government is planning to realize zero growth in the use of pesticide by 2020.

It's noteworthy that from 2012 to 2014 the CAGR of the consumption of azoxystrobin was 2.76% and that was 13.39% from 2014 to 2016, showing that China's consumption growth of azoxystrobin has been going faster. In 2016, the domestic apparent consumption of azoxystrobin in China increased by 14.62% year on year. Additionally, thanks to the consumption volume growth, the domestic market value of azoxystrobin (at ex-works level) increased accordingly.
