Summary

Political deadlock and widespread protests in the first half of the year saw a massive decline in both off and on-premise volumes showing a decline in the overall beer market. A new excise tax was introduced rising all retail prices. Both Boon Rawd Brewery and Thai Asia Pacific Brewery introduced smaller pack sizes to maintain their competitive edge. Beer did grow during the World Cup and in Q4's festive season but it wasn't enough to counteract the overall drop seen.
