To create the energy security in the developing countries of Asia Pacific region, the abundantly available renewable energy resources are being widely adopted, in order to reduce reliance on the conventional sources of energy. With a total of 140 GW of wind energy produced from the onshore and offshore wind energy resources in 2014, the APAC region aims to achieve almost double of the installed capacity by the end of the forecast period from 2015-2020.
