The Asia-Pacific nations consumed $8.3 billion worth of advanced materials and devices to produce renewable energy systems in 2010. Consumption is expected to increase to $11.9 billion in 2011 and $12.1 billion in 2016, a CAGR of 0.3% between 2011 and 2016.

China accounted for over half (56%) of the Asia-Pacific market in 2010, a percentage that is expected to drop to 47% by 2016. It is expected to approach $5.4 billion in 2011 and $5.7 billion by 2016 increasing at a CAGR of 1% between 2011 and 2016.
