目次

Following on from the VW Group report published in 2013, this is the new 2015 edition of Supplying the VW Group. Rather than a revision, this report contains almost 100% new material, based on 2013 and 2014 figures released by the Volkswagen Group in various presentations, reports, news releases and various other documents. Using this information and the data provided by expert analysts at IHS Automotive, the report offers unparalleled coverage of activities past, present and future across the Volkswagen Group and its internal OEM brands.

Where the previous report combined various information sections, this edition breaks down specific areas of activity into easily readable and easily searchable content. The section covering the top 10 best-selling models across the VW Group are now separated out into individual models, and together with in-depth nameplate histories these include the latest sales data comparisons with segment competitors. Platform usage is broken down by type, including introduction dates, material structure, model sharing and forecast length of use - this further includes in-depth coverage of the new MQB modular system. In this version of the report the global production footprint is broken down by country to offer the best analysis for suppliers interested in delivering to the plants in that area.

In other key areas of the report, there is an in-depth review of the VW Group Purchasing strategy, with key information about Regional Sourcing Offices. This is followed by details covering supplier selection, including localization strategies and global sourcing. Pricing and technology strategies are also reviewed, while there is an in-depth report on produced part quality management strategies based on internal VW documentation.

Supplying the VW Group 2015 further includes key highlights from the Supplier Relationship survey released in November 2014, outlining how VW and the other group companies compare with their direct competitors in such areas as profit potential, trust and outlook. In addition, the report includes exclusive interviews with top executives from suppliers now working with the VW Group about their experiences in dealing with the carmakers, both positive and negative.

The Supplying the VW Group 2015 report is essential reading for tier supplier companies interested in working with any of the major group OEMs, or for those looking to advance their existing relationship with the company.
