Abstract
Functional separation is one of the hottest topics on the regulatory agenda,
and it has been so for a while. Since the UK embarked on the creation of
Openreach, many around the world have looked with interest to this experience,
and some have followed the same path. After almost two years, we try to
summarise the international experience so far and focus our attention on the
most relevant aspects of the debate.
