"Though comparatively China' s drives are typically less functional, China' s average unit price (AUP) is lifted by a relative strong performance in the larger power ranges. Drives in the larger power ratings in China have benefited from the massive build out of infrastructure, which has helped to raise China' s AUP above the average for the region. However, the AUP is mitigated by the drives typically being less functional. For comparison, the AUP reported by one manufacturer for the Chinese textile sector is half the company' s North American textile sector AUP reported for IMS Research' s 2002 North American drives study" .
