Abstract
With security management demands from public areas, military organizations,
stores and schools, the video security surveillance market started to grow in
the 1970s. Especially after nations such as the US, Thailand and the UK were
the targets of terrorist attacks, the global video security surveillance
market experienced strong growth. It is expected that by 2011 the global
market for CCTV and video surveillance systems will be worth US$9.35 billion,
with a CAGR of 11.3% from 2007 to 2011. In addition, as broadband providers
and system integrators develop their products and services in combination with
security surveillance equipment and as services such as security surveillance
and remote health care become more focused on communities and households, IP
cameras have become very important devices and represent an area full of
opportunities. This report analyzes current and future IP camera market
development, technology trends, and global and Taiwanese makers' product
strategies.
