trends of the Linux client operating environments (COEs) and server
operating environments (SOEs) market during 2008, and provides revenue forecast
through 2009–2013. This document includes a revenue overall of the
Linux market revenue breakdown by Linux COE and SOE, SOE
revenue by vertical and by customer size, and COE revenue
by OEM/Non-OEM. Also, this documents also includes top vendors' profiles.

was a very exciting year for the China Linux market.
Although the market was, at some extent, affected by poor
macro economic factors, and natural accidents such as snowstorm and
earthquake that lessened big project opportunities, the market still offered
quite a lot of new growth points, such as enhancing
SI/ISV engagement, vitalization, notebook, and so forth. There are a
lot of opportunities in the market and, if vendors can
grasp these opportunities and deploy some successful referential projects, Linux
could enter into a new phase of fast growth rate,
