Abstract

This IDC study examines the application deployment software market for the period from 2006 to 2008. Worldwide market size is provided for 2008, along with trends and revenue and market share of the leading vendors. This is a competitive market that consists of most classes of middleware.

"The middleware market grew well in 2008, although growth slowed compared with 2007. Despite Oracle' s acquisition of BEA, IBM continues to have a commanding lead in middleware," according to Maureen Fleming, program director, Business Process Management and Middleware.
