Summary
This report provides detailed market forecasts for telecom spending in the small business market across six broad categories: wireline voice services, wireless voice services, wireline data services, wireless data services, wireline equipment, and wireless equipment. For each of these forecasts, detail is shown for the size-of-business sub-segments in this market: 5 to 9 employees, 10 to 19 employees, 20 to 49 employees, and 50 to 99 employees. The wireline data services spending forecast is further broken out into the following categories: Internet access services, private line services, ATM services, frame relay services, and managed services. The wireline voice services spending forecast is broken into these categories: local service, domestic long-distance, and international long distance.
The results of a telecom-specific study completed in April 2005 are also presented, including data on telecom priorities and investments and current and preferred telecom providers.
