有効な癌治療薬の創薬と開発

ネットワーク薬理学とは、薬が作用するメカニズムを研究者が正しく理解できるようにするための科学であり、創薬および新薬開発分野の新たな領域となっています。臨床試験後期段階における化合物/分子の損耗という問題の解決を目指して製薬業界が自己点検に取り組むなか、臨床前段階にあるリード分子に対する理解を深めるために多次元の新たなアプローチが用いられるようになっています。薬学研究者たちは、かなり以前から、効果的な癌治療薬には、1つの標的に1種類の薬剤という考え方に反する「複合薬理」と見なされるような活性があるという事実を認識していました。このシンポジウムでは、癌治療のさまざまな分野に携わっている専門家たちと直接会い、複数の標的に対する効能が新薬開発に道を開く可能性などについて意見を聞くことができます。薬理ゲノミクス、標的識別、コンピューターによるモデリング、アッセイ開発、システム生物学などから生まれたネットワーク薬理学は、利用可能な情報を駆使して、さまざまな分子の複数標的に対する効果を把握しようとしています。またネットワーク薬理学は、薬剤の位置づけや目的を変更する作業の迅速化という点でも一定の役割を果たしています。このシンポジウムでは、創薬や新薬開発に携わっている製薬業界や大学、政府機関の専門家が一堂に会し、ネットワーク薬理学の技術や戦略、アプローチなどを紹介します。低分子化合物や高分子化合物の開発プロジェクトのケーススタディに触れ、ネットワーク薬理学の応用に関するパネルディスカッションに参加することができるこのチャンスをどうぞお見逃しなく。
