生物医学に対応するソフトウェア環境の性能を向上させるため、多くの研究機関やグループがローカルコンピューティングリソース（将来のデータ量増加に対応するためのコンピュータークラスターとストレージソリューション）を構築しています。しかし、今後組織内で演算処理に対するニーズが高まった場合、これらのリソースでは十分に対応できなくなる可能性もあります。クラウドコンピューティングは、ローカルコンピュータークラスターやストレージソリューションのユーザーがタスクをより効率的な新しい環境に移行できるようにするための技術ソリューションです。
ライフサイエンス関連の組織や研究所の多くは、組織内外のクラウドを利用してコラボレーションや演算、ストレージなどのニーズに対応しています。このシンポジウムは、創薬や薬剤設計、研究とコラボレーション、分子モデリング、次世代シーケンシング、プロテオーム、SaaS(Software as a Service)、バイオインフォマティクスなどの分野における実際のユースケースを紹介するもので、ライフサイエンス分野におけるクラウドコンピューティングの利用形態、課題と有効性、経費節減効果、規制遵守などの問題も取り上げられることになっています。オピニオンリーダーたちとともに、クラウドコンピューティングを外部のITサービスおよび内部のコンピューティングモデルとして効果的に利用するための方策を探ることができるこのシンポジウムをどうぞお見逃しなく。

Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
