膨大な量のデータを有益な生物学研究の知識へと転換するために

生物学研究の情報量が爆発的に増加したことにより、分子生物学の分野で多くの進歩が達成され、ゲノムシーケンシングを迅速化するために用いられている高度な技術や機器も進化を遂げています。これに伴って、生物学研究と臨床医学をさらに発展させることも可能になっており、遺伝性疾患や後天性疾患、癌などに直接関係する遺伝子の調査や分析を通じて治療法を見つけ出すことも可能になっています。また、コンピューターベースのツールや手法を使えば、疾病の分子的な基盤を見つけ出すことができ、疾病の原因となる遺伝子を標的とした医薬品を設計することも可能です。
疾病や癌の治療目的で作成される情報の量が増え続けるなか、膨大なデータを有益な生物学的知識へと変えることができるコンピューターベースのストレージシステムや処理システム、配信システムの必要性が高まっています。この学会では、業界や政府機関、医療機関の専門家が一堂に会し、核酸配列とタンパク質配列に関する情報や構造情報の注釈や保存、分析、検索に関する説得力のある議論を展開し、ベストプラクティスを紹介します。また、コンテンツや分析ソフトウェア、サービス、ITインフラストラクチャなどに関する講演やパネルディスカッションも予定されています。

The deadline for submission is July 29, 2011.
All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
