ハイスループットタンパク質処理を実現するには、ステップを効率化し、品質を確保し、必要な成果を短期間で得られるようにするためのさまざまな手法と支援技術が必要です。この部会では、ハイスループット(HTP)という文脈のなかで精製工程を最適化する際に利用可能な戦略を検討するとともに、タンパク質の処理工程を監視し、結果を解析してタンパク質の状態や生物活性を明らかにするためのさまざまな手法について考えます。また、各種のソフトウェアやLIMS（ラボラトリー情報管理システム）を含むデータの継続的な収集と整理のための技術、クローン選択やバッファの最適化、タグの削除についての識見に加え、液体処理システムやマイクロ流体技術などのスループットの自動化、単回使用技術や使い捨て技術の導入といったテーマも取り上げられることになっています。
